Investigative reporter, Alena Garotti, launches a campaign against those who perpetrate atrocities on American citizens. Instead of watered-down programming, her show broadcasts graphic images—the consequences of crime that represents the reality of living in the land of the free. While this shocks dedicated viewers by airing the results of evil deeds and acts of violence, they understand that she’s trying to awaken national ire. Media managers worry about maintaining ratings and offending program advertisers.
Thomas Dusart suffers psychological torment when employment opportunities vanish and his attempts to find another position fail. His whining and demanding wife contributes only harsh criticism. Dejected, he implements an elaborate plan to reap vast wealth from insurance companies and lawsuits. Accused of false reporting, Alena and her manager, Ronald Wicker, follow the only lead that might save her career and foil Dusart’s otherwise, perfect crime.
