Terrorists advance their attacks on the United States. FBI
Special Agent, Donald Corbbitt, respected by his peers for
his uncanny ability to take timely action, responds to
another mindless attack.
Terror comes in waves and Corbbitt investigates an
assassination attempt on the Senate Judiciary Committee
Chairman. The Committee, embroiled in the Common Cause
Communications Corporation bankruptcy investigation,
learns of the murders of company executives. Suspects
include thousands of disgruntled company employees and
investors. Corbbitt seeks the common thread linking the
cases and learns that layers of evil combine to threaten
United States economic and political stability.
During the investigation, Corbbitt meets Communications
Specialist, Jocelyn Hafner. Corbbitt realizes his drive to
excel with the Bureau creates a void in his life. While
Jocelyn feels the attraction, she challenges him to live
better and enjoy life. He must choose a permanent
relationship or lose the most elegant woman he ever met.
